Michelle was born and raised in the small farming town of Brawley, California. She earned her BA in Art History from UCLA and worked as an Interior Designer until having children. After having kids, she decided she wanted to work more with youth and adults to help them find their passions and contribute to society in a positive way. She worked as an art and yoga instructor for several years before joining the High Tech Graduate School of Education Teacher’s Apprenticeship Program in 2019. Michelle is extremely excited to be a Humanities teacher at High Tech Middle this year! In her free time, Michelle loves to travel, hike, read, create art, and spend time with her family. She has been fortunate enough to travel to all across America, Mexico, Italy, France, and England. On the weekends you’ll probably find her hiking with her daughters and dogs, painting or making fiber arts, or eating ALL the tater tots.
